Rocca Restaurant at Macdonald Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews has launched a special lunch menu to celebrate head chef Jamie Scott’s triumph on the hit BBC Two programme “MasterChef: The Professionals” and the team at The Experience St Andrews were lucky enough to sample this award winning menu this last week.
27 year old Jamie, from Arbroath, received huge acclaim from judges Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace for the food he served up in the final.
To celebrate Jamie’s success, the kitchen team has crafted a menu which gives lunchtime diners a taste of the food that wowed three culinary heavyweights.

To start is an Arbroath Smokie veloute with East Neuk crab and apple.

This is followed by a main course of smoked sirloin of Orkney Beef with glazed shortrib, cep puree and saltbaked celeriac.

Dessert is a Brillat Savarin cheesecake with lemon, macaroon and meringue.
